Around 1,500 Indian students — primarily medical students — remain in Iran amidst rising Israel–Iran tensions. Over 110 have already been relocated to Armenia via Operation Sindhu. They report hearing airstrike sirens in Tehran and Qom, halting classes, and live in uncertainty and fear, urging swift Indian evacuation assistance. Many chose Iran for its affordable, WHO-recognized MBBS courses—about ₹22–28 lakh for six years, compared to ₹25 lakh annually in Indian private colleges.
